Format guide: WAV exports offline everywhere. WebM/Opus can export a smaller file without downloading a codec when supported by your browser; it records the selection in real time. MP3 still needs an online-loaded encoder; OGG depends on browser support. The multi-clip ZIP exports WAV only, for reliable playback.

Connect once to download and cache the LGPL MP3 encoder on this device. Later encoding runs locally without sending audio to any server; browser data clearing may remove the cache. Source: lamejs LGPL-3.0.
